The 32-year-old reality star has dyed her hair a very light blonde and debuted the new look as she stepped out to attend a Labor Day BBQ on Monday with her newborn.
Kim's flaxen tresses are certainly a departure from her usual dark brunette locks.
She appears to have opted for an ombre style, keeping her roots dark and her blonde hue graduating to a much lighter shade at the ends.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has also taken out her hair extensions to reveal her natural hair which falls below her shoulders.
But this is not the first time Kim has gone blonde, she also had lighter locks when she attended the Teen Choice Awards back in 2009.
He also told Life & Style magazine that she had been 'missing' her blonde hair.
'She had been hinting about it for months on Instagram and Twitter about ‘missing her blond.’ Much like fashion, she likes to change things up,' he revealed.
He explained that the process was a relatively easy one, considering how hard it can be to dye very dark hair blonde.
'Considering it can take up to 10 hours over several days, we were lucky that it was quick,' he told the magazine. 'It took us about four hours from start to finish with two heavy sets of highlights.'
He added that the pair were initially nervous about taking the risk, especially as peroxiding can severely damage the hair. But in the end they were both thrilled with the results.
'We talked about it for a few weeks. We were both nervous. Doing a drastic change from dark to light is unpredictable, and very risky, especially when you’re starting with very dark hair like Kim’s,' he added.
'There’s a lot of potential for it to turn orange, and the chance for damaging the hair is high. Luckily, it lifted nicely.... We were both really happy.'
A source also told the magazine that Kanye, who has influenced the way Kim has dressed in the past, also had a say in the decision-making.
'Kanye wants Kim to have a whole new look now that she's a mom and with him. They talked about her going blond again before she did it.'
Kim, who is said to have already lost 30 pounds since giving birth to North, also showed off her post-pregnancy figure during Monday's outing.
And it seems that she is back to being body confident, as she's already slipping into her skinny jeans.
The mother-of-one teamed the denim trousers with a khaki button-up shirt which displayed plenty of her ample cleavage.
But it appears that Kim is not quite ready for heels just yet, opting for a pair of gold strappy flats instead.
Kim carefully clutched onto the carrier, which she then safely attached to a car seat inside her black SUV.
She was followed closely by her older sister Kourtney, who wore a white billowing blouse, black shorts and a large yellow sun hat for the Labor Day festivities.
Not seen during the outing was Kim's partner, 36-year-old rapper Kanye.
